Admission Rules

NO.S.O.(N&AHSE) 6-40/2019.The competent Authority has been pleased to approve the Placement (Not Deputation) Policy of in-service nursing officers for various Post-Graduate Training Courses at various Post-Graduate Nursing Institution in Pakistan, with immediate effect.

2. The Terms and conditions of placement shall be as follows:

  1. Nursing Officer who are regular employees of Government of Punjab, Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department as well as of Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department, are eligible to apply for PG Training Courses.
  2. The minimum length of service for the applicants for applying in any PG Training Course will be two years after regularization (as per PNC Regulations).
  3. The regular employees serving in Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department as well as regular employees of other public-sector Administrative Departments of Punjab government (like Social Welfare, Population Welfare, Home Department), will have to apply through their Departments after obtaining NOC.
  4. Placement for one year will be granted, extendible for further one year, subject to satisfactory performance.
  5. The candidates serving under the administrative control of Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department and desirous of seeking admission at PGCN Lahore as well as at other public-sector Post-Graduate Training Institutions in Punjab, will be bound to submit their applications through the concerned Institution along with No Objection / No Inquiry Certificates from both the parent institute as well as from the administrative Department of the applicant.
  6. The Government employees working in the Teaching Institutions under the administrative control of Specialized Healthcare & medical Education Department will also get NOC from their parent institutions and DG Nursing prior to applying for admission.
  7. All applications MUST be routed / forwarded through the Directorate General of Nursing, Punjab after ascertaining requisite eligibility criteria. The Directorate General of Nursing , Punjab will compile all applications and will forward to the SHC& Me Department for final approval by the Competent Authority.
  8. Admissions will be granted ONLY at the POST-Graduate Nursing Training Institution duly approved/recognized by the Government of Punjab specialized healthcare & Medical Education Department.
  9. No application for the purpose will be entertained if submitted directly.
  10. Student will be entitled to draw pay and other allowances from the parent institution as admissible under the rules. However, the MS/Incharge of the facility may post any suitable employee on general duty during study period of candidate selected for Post-Graduation.
  11. The student will have to bear the expenditure of tuition fee, pre-enrolment fee, all diplomas fee, transport charges and mess charge etc. at their own.
  12. The student will be required to maintain proper discipline and satisfactory progress of the work (including minimum of attendance 85% or as fixed by the institution).
  13. The student can be repatriated to the Department at time during the course, in case progress and conduct is not satisfactory.
  14. The student will not leave training course incomplete, failing which he/she will be liable to refund the entire amount spent on the training along with any penalty as determined by the Head of the Institution or which may be imposed by the Government.
  15. The student will be required to serve the Government for a period of two years on completion of Post-Graduate course during which she will not be allowed to apply for a second PG Training course or others. For this purpose, she will be required to execute service surety bound as per specimen available in the office of the Director General Nursing, Punjab Lahore and O/o the Principal, PGCN, Lahore on Rs. 200/- stamped judicial paper.
  16. The student shall also stand debarred for any placement both inside and outside the country for a period of a three years in case she has availed Post Basic Training Course during the last three years or has submitted fake documents or concealed the facts of past service / training / deputation as were required to be submitted for the subject.
  17. The placement shall be subject to and in accordance with the terms and conditions given in the prospectus of the institution and placement policy formulated by the SHC& ME Department, Government of the Punjab.
  18. The student will report to the Administrator of the Training Institution immediately, failing which:
    1. Her service will be placed at the disposal of Director General Nursing Punjab, Lahore / SHC&ME Department for further posting in some rural area.
    2. She will also stand debarred for any PG Training Course both inside and outside the country for a period of three years.
  19. The placement will be cancelled in case the student is not proved to be the regular employee of the Health Department (s) or any pending enquiry.
  20. The Revised Placement Policy shall be effective from the Academic Session 2018-19 and onwards.

Note:

The Placement Policy circulated wide Notification NO.S.O.(N&AHSE) 6-40/2019, dated 18-03-2019 is hereby repealed immediately.
